INNS OF COURT MALAYSIA GRAND NIGHT DINNER 2024

4 May 2024 - St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, Kuala Lumpur

In celebration of its 8 years of excellence,  the Inns of Court Malaysia held a Grand Night Dinner on Saturday, 4th May 2024 at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Kuala Lumpur. The Right Honourable Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tun Tengku Maimun binti Tuan Mat graced this momentous occasion as the Guest of Honour of the evening alongside an array of other distinguished guests who included YAB Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Minister of Youth & Sports YB Hannah Yeoh, Dato’ Mary Lim Thiam Suan, YA Datuk Vazeer Alam bin Mydin Meera, YA Datuk Seri Mohd Firuz Jaffril, former Chief Justice of Malaysia Tun Zaki bin Tun Azmi, former Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Dato Sri Siti Norma Yaakob, other judges both sitting and retired, lawyers and law students. 

This evening also provided an opportunity to pay homage to Tun Tengku Maimun's election as Honorary Bencher of the Middle Temple, Justice Dato’ Mary Lim Thiam Suan's retirement as a Federal Court Judge, and YA Datuk Vazeer Alam bin Mydin Meera’s elevation to the Federal Court. 

YAB DPM Dato’ Sri Fadillah bin Haji Yusof who delivered a special keynote speech addressed the theme of the night - ‘Strengthening Unity’ by emphasising the importance of unity within the legal profession and the unique responsibility each legal professional has in upholding the rules of law, ensuring equal access to justice for all Malaysians and creating a legal environment “where meritocracy prevails over prejudice, and where opportunities for professional growth are accessible to all in driving the growth of the [legal] industry”.
